My name is Thomas Lunde and I have started this blog for several reasons.
The first is I now have the time to share my knowledge of Huna that has been accumulated since 1979. The second is to help the group I was affiliated with that interacted with two channelled Huna entities over a period of 3 years, from 1986 t0 1989, to fulfill their task. The third is to share my experience and learnings in the practice of Huna.
The Huna I will discuss is not directly related to the Hawaiian model of Huna. This is why I have chosen to associate it with the West Coast of Canada. I have benefited from the knowledge and insights of Max Freedom Long and Dr. Serge King and I do not differ with them in any significant way. I would suggest that my knowledge has been more focused on Huna Philosophy and our potential development on a personal level. Max's exploration of the Hawaiian language and what it revealed in the roots of words was a significant insight into the possibilities of Hunas as praticed in Hawaii. Dr. Serge King has been very eloquent on the the descriptions of shamanism within the Huna model as well as providing a very strong set of philosophical principles.
There is one other teacher I would like to acknowledge and that is Hank Wesselman and his trilogy, Spiritwalker, Medicinemaker and Visionseeker. Since the publication of these three books, Hans has produced two more books that lean toward an application of shamanism.
The additional sources that are basically unknown to most are the channelled sessions by Michael Blake Read, a deep trance psychic who lives in White Rock, BC, Canada. Michael channelled over 10,000 sessions over a period of 30 years. All sessions were recorded and many of them are available in tape form. Though only a few, possible 60 or so were directly related to Huna. I would give my opinion that all the sessions reflect teachings from a Huna viewpoint through their use of language and philosophy.
The second set of channelled sessions were delivered to a small group who met weekly over a three year period of personal training of which I was a part. All of these sessions were recorded and transcribed and it is my hope with the endorsement of the other participants to bring forth some or all of the information we were given.
A couple of additional sources I feel I must mention because they have been so instrumental in the development of my insights are the books channelled by Jane Roberts and known collectively as the Seth Material. I have found that by changing some of the key words used by Seth into Huna terminology, my understanding has been deepened and widened.
Also, the psychological discipline known as Neuro Linguistic Programming (NLP) has been seminal in the developing of techniques that have broadened my understanding of human behavior using the structure of Huna.
And finally, I have been benefited greatly by the four other individuals that intereacted with me over the three year period of Huna Channelling. All of them have developed experiences through the exercises, insights and interaction on a very intimate level with these entities.
I will add one more insight. Huna is learned by questioning. And that is why I feel that the structure presented by Blogs is relevant. I challenge each poster to end their post with a question and that question will become a springboard to deeper and deeper levels of Huna. It is common on Blogs to have threads, but for this purpose, I do not feel limitation is necessary. Huna is not like learning a school subject. Huna is messy, diverse, personal, specific, general and multi-layered - much like life. Let the questions lead us in ways we cannot imagine, to places we may not know of through means not currently knowable by us.
